1. One or Two tubular testis
2. vas deference
3. Seminal vesicle
4. An ejaculatory duct
Accessory structure: (important
for identification of species):
1. spicule
2. Gubernaculum & Telamon
3. Copulatory bursa
Spicule:
- It is a sheath or a pair of
sheath containing thickened, chitinoid structure which act as hold fast
organ during copulation & for expansion of vagina. e.g. it has tactile
function & attachment
Gubernaculum & telamon:
These are thickened chitinoid
structure. when it is found on
the dorsal wall of cloaca is called gubernaculums & when is found in the
ventral wall of cloaca is called telamon. They guide the spicules.
Copulatory bursa:
In some nematodes (strongyloidea)
the cuticle at the posterior end is expanded & curved to form the
copulatory bursa. The wall of the bursa is supported by bursal rays.
