• Application Process
  • Application typically opens early October & closes December 1. (For current DVM students, scholarship information and applications will be available in VIPER.)
  • Externship scholarships are also available for approved senior year externships. This is part of the regular scholarship application where 3^rd year students can apply for funding for their senior year externships.
  • Applications are reviewed by the Student Affairs Committee in January/February and award notifications are made in March.
• 2.3 million dollars in Scholarships
  
  • 730 scholarships awarded.
  • $5,638 Average Scholarship Amount received by UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine Students over all four years.
• 4.2 million in Grants
  • $8,087 Average Grant Amount each year (Approximately $32,350 over all four years).
  • Nearly one full year of tuition & fees for a California Resident (grant awards are based off of demonstrating financial need as identified through the FAFSA application).
• 6.5 million in Grants & Scholarships
  • Average Grants & Scholarship support received by DVM students over all four years of veterinary school is $37,988!
